1. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small pieces of information a website can ask your browser to store and return with later requests. LocalStorage is another browser storage mechanism. Unlike a cookie, it is not automatically sent with every page request. Privacy rules can apply to both, so this policy explains them together.

This website is operated by Cheer Deck Wellness Guides Ltd., company number 16842731, at 86–90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom. Questions can be sent to [email protected].

2. The categories, in plain language

The table describes common categories and their example durations. It is not a claim that every example is installed. This static website currently uses only a localStorage record to remember your cookie decision. No optional analytics or functional tools are active.

Category examples; actual active storage is listed separately below.
Cookie TypePurposeExampleDuration
EssentialSite functionalitySession preferencesSession
AnalyticsAnonymous usage analysisAnalytics cookieUp to 12 months
FunctionalRemember preferencesPreference cookieUp to 12 months

“Anonymous usage analysis” describes the intended category purpose, not a promise that every analytics product is anonymous. Any future implementation would need its own accurate disclosure and appropriate consent.

3. What this site actually stores

The active localStorage key is thermal-botanica-cookie-choice-v1. It records whether you accepted, rejected or saved custom preferences, the analytics and functional preference values, a version number and the date of the decision. It contains no name, email address or contact message.

This record is used only to remember your privacy choice and avoid repeatedly displaying the banner. It has no automatic expiry in this implementation and remains until you clear site data, your browser removes it or you replace it in Cookie settings. It is separate from the illustrative cookie durations above.

The contact form keeps its working values in the page while you edit. It does not intentionally save them to our localStorage. Your browser may independently offer autofill or restore form fields according to your own browser settings.

4. Accepting, rejecting and preferences

Accept All saves permission for the optional categories shown. Reject Non-Essential saves both optional categories as off. Preferences opens separate controls, and Save preferences records your chosen combination. Accepting does not install analytics or other tools that aren’t present.

Use Cookie settings in the footer of any page to revisit your choice. Select Reject Non-Essential to withdraw optional permission. Withdrawal does not affect earlier processing that was lawful. A materially different future use would require an updated notice and fresh consent where required; your current choice is not unlimited permission.

If browser storage is blocked, the site still works, but your choice may not persist between pages. Private-browsing sessions may delete the record when their windows close. We don’t make access to the guides conditional on accepting optional categories.

5. External images and tracking signals

Images are requested from Picsum Photos and its delivery services. These requests expose ordinary network information, including your IP address, to the provider. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent image requests. The site does not embed an external map, social-media widget, advertising pixel or third-party analytics script.

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. There is no such activity for a Global Privacy Control signal to opt out of in this implementation. Our own code does not use browser fingerprinting.

6. Browser-level controls and updates

Most browsers let you inspect and remove website data under Settings, then Privacy or Site settings. Search for cheerdeckfeedburst.lat and clear its cookies and site storage to remove the saved choice. Blocking only cookies may not remove localStorage; use the broader website-data control.

You can also block third-party cookies, restrict images or use private browsing. Menu names differ across Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, so consult your browser’s help if needed. Clearing site storage makes the banner appear again because the earlier decision is no longer available.

We will update this policy when storage practices change. Read the Privacy Policy for information about rights, service providers and complaints, or contact us if something remains unclear.
